wisdom is knowing I am nothing
love is knowing I am everything
and between the two my life moves

Tao Te Ching - verse 4
the tao is empty, but inexhaustible
bottomless, the ancestor of all
within it the sharp edges become smooth,
the twisted knots loosen,
the sun is softened by a cloud
the dust settles into place
it is hidden, but always present
I do not know who gave birth to it,
it seems to be the common ancestor of all,
the Father of things
bottomless, the ancestor of all
within it the sharp edges become smooth,
the twisted knots loosen,
the sun is softened by a cloud
the dust settles into place
it is hidden, but always present
I do not know who gave birth to it,
it seems to be the common ancestor of all,
the Father of things

Tao Te Ching - verse 3
putting a value on status, will create contentiousness
if you over value possessions people begin to steal
by not displaying what is desirable
you will cause the peoples hearts to remain undisturbed
the sage governs by emptying minds and hearts
by weakening ambitions and strengthening bones
practice not doing
when action is pure and selfless
everything settles into its own perfect place
if you over value possessions people begin to steal
by not displaying what is desirable
you will cause the peoples hearts to remain undisturbed
the sage governs by emptying minds and hearts
by weakening ambitions and strengthening bones
practice not doing
when action is pure and selfless
everything settles into its own perfect place

Snapshot of Mood
Just done Luscher Colour Test at http://www.colorquiz.com/index.php. Results just in:
Existing Situation: "Creative and emotional, looking for ways to further expand those qualities. Looking for a partner who enjoys the same activities. Seeking adventure and new and unusual activities."
Stress Sources: "Wishes for freedom and independence, free from limitations and restrictions except for the choices give to myself."
Restrained Characteristics: "Tries to participate and be involved in things going on around ; however, avoids conflict and arguments to reduce stress and tension. Giving more than getting back and feels misunderstood and unappreciated. Feels forced into compromising, even close relationships leave feelings of emotional distance. Is feeling emotionally drained from stressful and tense situations. In need of peace and quiet in order to overcome a lack of energy and may become irritable if I do not recover."
Desired Objective: "Wants interesting and exciting things to happen in life. Able to make others like you, because of your genuine concern for them. You are charming and open and makes friends easily. Can have an over-active imagination, which leads you to fantasize and daydream."
Actual Problem: Longing for the freedom to make your own decisions and plans without the criticism and restrictions of others. Using your charm to deal with others and get what you want.

Tao Te Ching - verse 2
under heaven
all can see beauty as beauty, only because there is ugliness
all can know good as good, only because there is evil
being and non being produce each other
the difficult is born in the easy, long is defined by short,
the high by the low, before and after go along with each other
so
the sage lives openly with apparent duality and paradoxical unity
the sage can act without effort and teach without words
nuturing things without possessing them
he works, but not for rewards, he competes but not for results
when the work is done it is forgotten, that is why it lasts for ever.

Tao Te Ching - verse 1
the tao that can be told is not the eternal tao
the name that can be named is not the eternal name
the tao is both named and nameless
as nameless it is the origin of all things
as named it is the mother of 10,000 things
ever desireless one can see the mystery
ever desiring one sees only the manifestations
and the mystery itself is the doorway to understanding

Tao Te Ching - The Great Way reference post
Change Your Thoughts - Change Your Life (un abridged). Dr Wayne Dyer a download from Audible. This work, a book read by the author forms the basis for some of my blog posts over the next few months.
Effectively a commentary on the Tao Te Ching based upon at least ten other authors translations and interpretations, Dyer challenges the reader to engage and seek insight in the meaning of the words verses and in between the lines, as they form and flow in my head, heart and being.
Previoulsy I've just read the Tao, now I being asked to be the Tao, or should I say be Tao.

Thinking out loud by typing
Listening to David Gurteen DG talking about blogging while thinking about this and typing about thinking out loud. Blogging, contextual, connecting, personal conversations with myself and what I think, that I do not know until I hear or type it out loud. Then I know more, not sure when I will know! DG reckons knowledge management is personal not a database, context is significant, as in conversations and dialogue.

Mindfulness?
Mindfulness (1, 2) what is it?
It is anything but a full mind!
It is seeing, sensing what is beyond the hustle and bustle of life, where we are aoften not awake, to the beauty of the now
This blog is a brief record of the now, now ;-)
The moving fingers writes, I am a two finger typist.
But the miracle is I think, I know I know I am aware.

Hello World
How does one know?
How does one learn?
How does one grow?
By being
By being aware
By changing in response to ones awareness and looking for wisdom within and without
By being calm and listening
A happy day
